I am an educational media producer whose work has been part of the curriculum at a national herb school for over a decade. My background includes producing feature reports for the PBS NewsHour and hosting a Terry Gross-style public radio program at the University of Minnesota. I served as the president of the North Country Herbalist Guild from 1998-2000; now I feel I can make a contribution to the larger herbal community with A Guide to Pronouncing Plant Names.

Strangely enough, I began working with dialects and pronunciation early, starting in college. Then, besides being sworn to pronounce names correctly as a broadcaster, I spent thirteen years moderating the televised version of The Minnesota High School Quiz Bowl. I checked a lot of words! With the Guide, I feel I have nailed this topic. I believe I can explain it to anyone! I had a blast producing it and I hope you enjoy it.
